CHERRIES centre-half Steve Cook says he relishes the rivalries which have cropped up with Watford.

Cook will tomorrow hope to extend his ever present Premier League run this season when Eddie Howe’s side make the trip to Vicarage Road (3pm).

The former Brighton man said: “Watford have started the season very well, similar to us. They are very strong and direct and they are always very tight games between us.

“I really like Watford because we came up with them. We have had a similar sort of journey into the Premier League and it’s quite nice to have those little rivalries on the pitch and with the fans because it creates an atmosphere and really gets us going.

“Every year they seem to really gel well under a new manager. They have really grown since Javi Gracia took over and have been difficult to beat.

“They are very physical and we will have to stand up to that challenge.”

Victory for Howe’s troops would take them above Watford in the table and could propel them into the top four.
