DETERMINED Georgia Hall produced a moment of magic to help rescue a half in her Pool B opener at the UL International Crown.
Representing England alongside team-mate Charley Hull, the duo appeared to be heading for defeat having been three down after 13 holes against Australia’s Minjee Lee and Sarah Jane Smith.
But having driven pin-high on the par four 14th at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club in South Korea, Hall chipped in for eagle to reduce the deficit.
The Wimborne-based professional produced a sublime finish by hitting a driver off the floor at the par five 18th and then pitching to within two feet.
After Lee’s putt to win the match failed to drop the Australians conceded the final hole, meaning the spoils were shared.
With Bronte Law and Jodi Ewart Shadoff winning 4&3 against Su Oh and Katherine Kirk, England sit second in the standings heading into day two.
South Korea top the pile after recording two victories over Chinese Taipei.
Dorset star Hall, in her first outing at the event, is looking to guide England to Sunday’s singles finale.
