HAMWORTHY Recreation hold a commanding six-point lead at the top of Hayward Saturday Premier Division after their 3-1 success at AFC Burton.

Goals from Callum Charlton, Josh Baker and Joe Bennett did the trick for Ham Rec, with Burton’s effort courtesy of a Hammers defender.

Bournemouth Electric were also 3-1 winners when Jack Myers struck twice to subdue Parley Sports. Danny Hill was also on target for the Sparkies with Trevor Griffin replying for the visitors.

Liam Welton, Kevin Slapp and James Taylor netted for Mudeford Men’s Club but Division One pacesetters Portcastrian preserved their perfect record when Billy Westbrook and Callum Brooker bagged two each to give them a 4-3 victory.

Bransgore United moved into second after their convincing 5-0 victory over Fordingbridge Turks thanks to Ryan Hamm’s hat-trick and a couple of goals from Jake Warry.

John Bastable rattled in four with Ryan Davies and Rob Scadding adding two apiece when Bournemouth Manor reserves gave AFC Burton reserves a 10-3 drubbing.

Liam Carpenter and Matt Bright were the other Manor marksmen with Dan Bailey, Casey Bonsfield and James McAuliffe replying for Burton.

In the other Division One game, Tony Bellot, Abraham Adesoji and Teddy Hills gave Bournemouth Electric reserves a 3-0 success against Bournemouth Sports.

Gotham reserves are four points clear at the top of Division Two following their resounding 9-1 triumph over Cherry Bees.

Lee Pearson and Mark Jimmy scored two each with Scott Hancock, John Bailey, Connor Picken, Brett Barras and Adam Locke also on target. Matt Avery scored a consolation goal for the visitors.

Liam House and Tylor Burgis netted for Talbot Rise but they had to settle for a point when Sonny Curtis and Rob Corlett earned Bisterne United reserves a 2-2 draw.

FC Barolo’s perfect start was ruined when Westover Bournemouth reserves subdued them 2-0 with first-half goals from Callum Burt and Jordan Picken.

Joel Drew struck twice for Bournemouth University but MA Hart Pickford Cup holders Bournemouth Manor prevailed 4-2 in the third-round tie.

Manor’s goals came courtesy of Brad Aspin, Sam Purdy and Terry Foote (2). Queen’s Park Athletic are also through to the fourth round after Tom Pepper, Adam Clark and Louis Vafa gave them the verdict 3-2 against Division One rivals Milford. Leon Jarrett scored both Milford goals.

Meanwhile, in the first round, New Milton Eagles blitzed Burley 9-0.

On target were George Boultwood, Sam Quinn, Jon Spooner, Tom Linbourn and Aaron Hurdle, while Justin Keeler and James Vibert got two apiece.
