BOSS Will Croker challenged Bournemouth’s players to feel an “inevitability” about fixtures on the road.

Having prevailed 49-25 at Weston-super-Mare last time out, Lions on Saturday travel to Bracknell seeking to maintain their perfect start to the South West Premier campaign.

Croker told the Daily Echo: “I want there to be almost an inevitability about us. When we get to these games, it should feel inevitable we are going to win.

“We get to the ground, win the match and get back on the bus.

“I would go so far as to say it was one of the most muted buses home I can remember after the Weston game. It was a case of job done. The boys had a couple of sociable beers and then went home to their families.

“In days gone by, away wins were such a rarity that they got celebrated like a cup final.”

Discussing his team’s promotion prospects, Croker added: “There has been an acceptance among the boys that they need to deliver more consistently.

“They made a pledge to each other that they want to get promoted this season and that they want to do it together.”
