DORSET star Georgia Hall was content with her “steady” second round at the Evian Championship.

The Wimborne-based professional carded a 68 on day two at Evian Resort – matching her opening round and leaving her six under par heading into the weekend.

She told the LPGA: “I was quite happy with the way I played.

“I was very steady and it wasn’t that stressful for me out there. I was pleased with my score.

“The greens are still as tough and there are some tricky pin positions out there. You just have to put it on the right side of the green.”

Starting on the 10th hole at the major championship in France, former Canford Kid Hall dropped her only stroke of the day on the par-four 12th.

But the 22-year-old recovered with a two at the short 14th before picking up another stroke three holes later to end her opening nine in red numbers for the day.

Further birdies at the third and eighth put Hall in a promising position heading into round three, two shots back of early pace-setter Maria Torres.
