DEFENDING champions Bashley signalled their intent to retain the Bournemouth Senior Cup with a stunning 6-0 victory over New Milton.
Bash, who overcame Verwood Town in last season’s final at Hurn Bridge, produced a resounding home display to progress to the third round.
Doubles from Dan Munday and Cameron Beard were topped up by strikes from Sam Jackson and Tony Rolls, as the Wessex Premier side stamped their authority on Milton, who operate in Wessex One.
Bashley have enjoyed a phenomenal September, scoring 14 goals without reply across three home victories.
They have lost once in five league games this season.
Elsewhere in the cup, Poppies progressed after coming from behind to beat Dorset Premier League outfit Hamworthy Recreation 3-1 at Victoria Park.
A Chris Long penalty had put visitors Rec in front before George Hatch levelled.
Sami Garcia put Poppies in the box seat before Tomasaku Muruyama wrapped up the contest for the hosts.
Verwood Town bowed out on 4-2 on penalties after drawing 2-2 with Hampshire Premier outfit Sway.
Charlie Gajic and Ollie Davis had found the net for Potters during a dramatic 90 minutes at Potterne Park.
In the first round, Jude Nwachukwu and Matt Burt both struck for Brockenhurst but Badgers went down 4-2 at home to Hythe & Dibden.
