BOSS Callum Brooks is not getting ahead of himself as Hamworthy United prepare to host Sholing in an FA Cup replay tomorrow.

The Wessex Premier rivals shared a 0-0 draw on Saturday, ensuring either side could face a trip to National South outfit Slough Town in the second qualifying round.

Asked about today’s draw, Brooks said: “It’s a tough one to comment on. We’re taking nothing for granted because we’re not guaranteed to go through.

“Whoever we had drawn, it would have acted as further incentive. You either get a team from a higher division, like Slough, where you get the opportunity to test yourself against higher opposition, or you get a team from a similar level which would offer a better chance of progress.

“But in terms of our approach, it changes nothing. We’re entirely focused on the Sholing game and getting a result from it.

“We’ll look to get on the front foot more because we’re at home.”

Brooks welcomes back attacking duo Dan Cann and Sam Bayston from suspension but will be without Ollie Davis and Eder Batista.

The manager said: “Dan and Sam missed out due to suspension last time, so it’s a big plus to have two of the best players in the league in the squad.

“However, we’ll be missing Ollie and Eder, which means offensively we’re still not at full strength.”
