HAYLEY Davis will tomorrow hope to continue her recent good form when she tees it up in the Ladies’ European Tour’s French Open.
The Ferndown-affiliated player is in her rookie season on the LET Access Series – a feeder tour to the main European circuit.
And she received an invite to play in the £248,000 event where she will hope to build on a tied-seventh finish at the Allerum Open in Sweden.
Poole-born Davis will have the distinction of being in the first group away on the Chateaux Course at Golf du Medoc near Bordeaux.
The 25-year-old is due off at 7.45pm UK time and will play alongside Emma Grechi and Cloe Frankish.
The winner of the tournament receives a place in next week’s Evian Championship – the fifth Major of the year – if they are not already exempt.
Among Davis’s fellow competitors are Beth Allen and Felicity Johnson, both previous winners of the event, and Lymington-based Liz Young.
Dorset’s LPGA Tour star Georgia Hall – a close friend of Davis – is due to take part in the French Open but is not in action this week.
