CHRISTCHURCH’S tough start to the Wessex Premier campaign continued as they received a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Brockenhurst.

Ollie Cherrett’s men had lost two of their opening three league games heading into Tuesday’s clash at Hurn Bridge and their hopes of improving that statistic were quickly dashed.

Five minutes after the restart, a fine through ball from Thomson released Mo Nyang, who made no mistake in adding the fourth goal.

Brock are without a league game on Saturday due to Bemerton’s involvement in the FA Cup.

Lymington Town now know the identity of their FA Cup foes, with Lydney Town set to provide the opposition in first round qualifying following their 5-3 replay win over Royal Wootton Bassett Town on Tuesday.

New Milton Town bagged their third Wessex One victory of the campaign as they triumphed 1-0 at Totton & Eling.

Claudio Carvalho’s powerful header from a corner proved the difference between the sides.

Ringwood Town’s trip to Downton was postponed due to the passing of Downton stalwart Ian Drinkwater.
