BOURNEMOUTH received their Southern Premier League Division One championship trophy ahead of securing a 14th win in 17 games – a 30-run victory over 2017 champions Calmore Sports.
It was not an altogether convincing triumph, the Lions having been stuck in and reduced to 31 for four by Mike West (2-17) and Steve Wright (2-23).
Simon Woodruff (33) and Ed Denham (29) rallied but Bournemouth were still 97 for six before Nick Park (50*) and Dom Clutterbuck (25) added what proved a decisive 73 runs to post a competitive 175 for seven.
Calmore proceeded to lose their wickets in clusters but appeared to be in a promising position at 101 for three (George Woodhall 32).
But a three-wicket burst by Jake Hurley (3-20), aided by further strikes from Denham (3-19), saw Calmore collapse to 145.
