MAJOR winner Georgia Hall got off to a solid start in her quest to land the CP Women’s Open in Canada.

The Women’s British Open winner carded a first-round 68 at the event in Wascana Country Club, Regina.

Starting on the 10th, Wimborne-based Hall rattled off four birdies in her opening nine to reach the half-way point four under par.

The world number nine went on to birdie the par-four fifth, before her only dropped shot came on the sixth hole.

Hall is set to begin her second round tonight at 8.43pm UK time.
