SYDENHAMS Wessex Premier Hamworthy United will be bidding to reach the first qualifying round of the FA Cup for the fourth year in succession when they host AFC Totton at the Specsavers County Ground on Saturday (3pm).

Callum Brooks' Hammers set up a date with the Southern League Division One South Stags after Dan Cann plundered a hat-trick to see off Team Solent in the extra preliminary round 12 days ago.

Doubles from Nathan Walker have earned Hammers 2-1 home wins against Bashley and Horndean in their past two league games.

Hammers beat Andover Town, Lymington Town and Ascot United at this stage in the past three seasons and last reached the second qualifying round in 2013 when they exited at the hands of Poole.

Unbeaten Poppies will attempt to reach the first qualifying round for the first time in seven years when they visit Winchester City (3pm).

In 2011, Poppies beat Hamworthy United, Totton & Eling and Newport before going out – after a replay – to Truro City in the second qualifying round.

Winchester City are currently fifth in Southern League Division One South, while the fourth qualifying round is the furthest Poppies have gone in the competition in their history, losing 10-0 to Watford in 1913-14.

Lymington Town host Combined Counties Division One outfit Frimley Green at New Milton’s Fawcett’s Field, while Brockenhurst travel to Hellenic League Premier Binfield (both 3pm).

In Wessex Premier, Bashley will be hoping to bounce back from their midweek Hampshire Senior Cup defeat by Poppies when they host promoted Tadley Calleva.

And Christchurch, buoyed by their county cup win over New Milton, host big-spending Alresford who currently prop up the table after three straight league defeats.

Wessex One leaders Verwood Town will be hoping to heap more misery on bottom-placed Andover Town when they lock horns at The Portway Stadium.

Andover have shipped 25 goals in five league and cup games since dropping down from Wessex Premier after refusing to accept promotion to the Southern League last season.

Also in Wessex One, New Milton visit Hythe & Dibden and Ringwood travel to Romsey (all 3pm).
