GLOBAL star Georgia Hall is set to take centre stage in Canada when she tees it up in her first individual tournament since earning a famous victory at the British Women’s Open.

Wimborne-based Hall scooped £383,000 and picked up a host of new fans when she showed ice-cool composure to triumph at Royal Lytham & St Annes earlier this month.

And the 22-year-old will be one of the main attractions at tomorrow’s £1.74million CP Women’s Open at Wascana Country Club in Regina, Saskatchewan.

She is due to begin her campaign at the 10th at 3.28pm UK time alongside fellow Major winners Lexi Thompson and Lydia Ko.

Hall was elevated to number nine in the world by the third professional triumph of her career, which was her first on the LPGA Tour.

The British Open is also sanctioned by the Ladies’ European Tour, enabling Hall to roar to the top of the order of merit, which she won last year.

The former Oakmead College pupil was the first English player to win the tournament since Karen Stupples in 2004.
