POOLE Town have appointed former Wimborne and Gosport boss Alex Pike as their new commercial manager.
Pike won the FA Vase during his time at Cuthbury before guiding Gosport from the Wessex League to Conference South and to the FA Trophy final in 2014.
He was also instrumental in securing major sponsorship during his time as manager at Privett Park.
Pike, who was sacked twice by Gosport last season, will concentrate solely on his commercial role at Black Gold Stadium.
Current Dolphins boss Tom Killick played under Pike in Wimborne's 1992 FA Vase-winning team, scoring twice in their Wembley triumph.
Poole chairman Chris Reeves said in a statement: “I regard this as a stellar appointment for the club and the whole board are eagerly looking forward to working with Alex for the greater good of Poole Town.
"I have consulted throughout with Tom in the process leading up to Alex’ appointment and can reassure fans that Tom is as delighted as I am that Alex has joined us."
