NEW Milton took a step closer to the relegation trapdoor but at least had the satisfaction of taking six Havant wickets before suffering an 11th straight defeat.
Their fightback owed much to the tenacity of teenage batsman Raff Hussey, whose 70 was his third 50-plus score in the Southern Premier League this season.
He hit 11 boundaries in a 100-ball stay at the crease and was seventh out before Richard Hindley (4-19) stopped Milton on 132.
Campbell Golding and George Watts took two wickets each before Chris Stone’s resolute 48 got the defending champions across the line.
