BRADY Kurtz says there are “no more chances” for Pirates and admits riders must deliver meeting victories on a consistent basis.
Poole moved to within three points of an SGB Premiership play-off spot courtesy of their 54-35 thrashing of visitors Belle Vue on Wednesday.
Spearhead Kurtz managed just two paid three from his opening two rides but ended up on 10 paid 11 from five outings.
He top-scored for the home side but every rider bar Kacper Woryna, who sustained a minor hand injury on his third ride, pitched in with at least one race victory.
Reflecting on his performance, Kurtz said: “I’m not sure what happened in the first couple of races but it’s good it turned out well in the end.
“I’m so stoked for all the boys to have a decent meeting all at once. It’s what we needed to kick-start the rest of the year.
”We’re trying our best and tonight was such a good effort from everyone and I feel a bit of relief.
“Hopefully, this is it. We’ve all had our ups and downs and now we all know we need to win. There are no more chances for us.
“The boys showed tonight that we’re here for the rest of the year.”
