CHERRIES are to face further Championship opposition in pre-season in the form of Bristol City.
The Dorset club, who yesterday confirmed they would travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, July 28 (3pm), are to take on Lee Johnson's City at Ashton Gate the previous night (7pm).
Johnson told the club website: “It will be great to test ourselves against Premier League opposition and to show the work we have put in across pre-season.
"It should be an exciting game."
The most recent competitive meeting between the teams was a 2-2 draw in League One on Boxing Day in 2006.
