POOLE Town have swooped for former Wimborne, Dorchester and Salisbury playmaker Franklyn Clarke.
The 25-year-old, who also had a brief spell in the pro ranks with York City, has agreed terms on a one-year deal with the Dolphins.
Clarke was a key figure as Blackfield & Langley won promotion as champions of the Sydenhams Wessex Premier last season.
The midfielder joined National League outfit York City in July 2016 but was restricted to just two first-team appearances.
He returned to Southern Premier League Dorchester in November 2016, having started his non-league career with Wimborne.
Clarke joined Salisbury in March 2017, helping them reach the Southern League Division One South & West play-offs.
Poole are bidding to bounce back to the National South at the first attempt following relegation last season.
