BISTERNE United and Bournemouth Electric reserves – the two most consistent teams on current form in Division One of the Hayward Saturday League – tomorrow meet in the final of the MA Hart Page Croft Cup at Hurn Bridge (7.30pm).

Bournemouth Electric reserves’ excellent run of seven wins and a draw from eight league games since their semi-final victory in December has made them strong candidates to take the title.

They are now five points behind leaders Bournemouth University with three games in hand.

Adam Baxter, with 12 goals from 13 games, is Sparkies’ leading goalscorer but the whole team are capable of weighing in with goals with no fewer than 19 players having got themselves on the scoresheet.

Bisterne United have also won seven of their past eight league games, their only loss being a 1-0 defeat against Electric.

Bisterne are currently sixth in the table but have games in hand on all the teams in front of them in a very competitive league.

Timo Gleed is Bisterne’s leading marksman with an impressive 32-goal haul while the versatile Tom Faulkner has chipped in with 19 goals from 19 games.
