IN-FORM Georgia Hall warmed up for the Australian Open by banking her second straight top-10 finish of the year at the Canberra Classic.

The 21-year-old, who is based in Wimborne, fired a closing one under par at Royal Canberra, the same score she had posted in her previous round.

That placed the former Canford Kid on five under for the 54-hole tournament which secured her winnings of £1,250.

Former world number one Jiyai Shin was the runaway winner on 19 under, giving the South Korean star her 50th career title.

Hall will reflect favourably on another strong showing which puts her in good stead for the Australian Open, due to begin on Wednesday night (UK time).

The £940,000 tournament will be the Solheim Cup ace's first LPGA Tour event of the season and will be contested at Kooyonga Golf Club in Adelaide.

Among a stellar field will be South Korea's Ha Na Jang, who will defend the title she won at Royal Adelaide.

Former world number one Ariya Jutanugarn will be another tough player to beat and two-time Major winner So Yeon Ryu will also be fancied by many.
