CHERRIES have been linked with a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Adlene Guedioura, according to a report in the South London Press.

The 29-year-old Algerian international had two spells on loan at Watford last season, returning to Vicarage Road in March to help them secure automatic promotion alongside Cherries.

And while the Hornets are keen to sign him, Cherries are also rumoured to have expressed an interest in the former Wolverhampton Wanderers man.

French-born Guedioura has 12 months left on his Palace contract but has made just four starts since joining from Nottingham Forest in 2013 for a reported fee of £2.5million.

He is expected to be allowed to leave the Eagles as they look to shift some of their fringe players off their wage bill.

Meanwhile, speculation linking Cherries with another Palace player – Dwight Gayle – is understood to be wide of the mark.

The Mirror suggested Cherries were looking to make Gayle their record signing and claimed Eddie Howe would not be put off by Crystal Palace’s £10m price tag.
