WILL Spetch and Richard Gillespie are set to hit the comeback trail when Poole entertain Truro in tonight’s Southern League Cup quarter-final at Tatnam (7.45pm).

Manager Tom Killick will resist the temptation to make sweeping changes for the last-eight clash.

“I will pretty much stick to my original plan to play a strong team but rotate the first-team squad,” said Killick.

“As far as this round is concerned, having a home match makes all the difference. Had we been drawn away, it would have been quite hard to deal with.

“But with it being at our place, it is not a bad game to have and I am desperate to get some minutes into Richard Gillespie and Will Spetch.

“People like Luke Roberts and Neil Martin also need to play and there are some really good youngsters on the fringes who I want to give an opportunity to.

“Lads like Jack Dickson will come in but we are not going to make drastic changes.

“I am quite pleased to be in it but that is largely down to the fact we have a home draw. If you have an away trip in the semi-final, it is not so bad because by then, you want to go all the way.”

Teenage striker Joe Quigley, who has netted five goals in six games for the Dolphins, has extended his work experience from Cherries.

Killick expects to complete a loan deal today.
