SOUTHERN League strugglers Bashley have announced the signing of Bermuda international midfielder Taurean Manders.

The 28-year-old, currently based in Southampton, took part in six World Cup qualifiers for his country in 2011 and has amassed 13 caps since making his debut against Barbados a decade ago.

Much-travelled Manders, son of Bermuda international cricketer Andre Manders, plied his trade in America with Bradenton Academics before moving to Canada for spells with Capital City and York Region Shooters. A stint in Antigua followed with Barracuda FC.

Bash received international clearance for their new player on Saturday.

The New Forest club’s home match against Bedford on Saturday was postponed while Southern League Premier Division rivals Poole Town's match at Hungerford Town also fell victim to the weather.
