TOM Killick is hoping the signing of Rhys Baggridge can help promotion-chasing Poole Town prosper during a “defining period” for his team.

Poole Town manager Killick moved to bolster his resources by drafting in Tatnam fans’ favourite Baggridge for his third spell at the Dorset club.

The versatile Salisbury City star, who completed a one-month loan switch on Friday, is set to feature when Poole host Cinderford tonight (7.45pm).

Killick told the Daily Echo: “I was looking for a defensive addition and this is the third spell Rhys has had at the club.

“I know him very well and he gets on well with the players, so |we hope he can fit in straight away.

“It is going to be a defining period for us so we would have been foolish to risk not being strong as a squad during this time.”

Killick, who revealed he was pondering whether to recruit another mystery loanee, is also hoping to hold contract talks with Warren Byerley after tonight’s clash with Cinderford at Tatnam.
