A limited-edition Cadbury chocolate bar has returned to shelves three years after it first delighted chocolate fans.

Shoppers have spotted the mint-flavoured treat on sale at B&M stores three years after it last appeared, with a 35g bar currently priced at £1.

The Mint Twirl features two fingers of mint-flavoured chocolate curls and swirls, coated in Cadbury Dairy Milk.

Originally launched in April 2023 before a wider release in May, the bar was Cadbury’s third limited-edition Twirl of the decade, following Caramel and Orange.

Fans have taken to social media to share their excitement, with one shopper exclaiming: "They’re back!! Mmm."

Another wrote: "I need to try," while a third simply commented: "Get in my belly."

The 2023 version of the Mint Twirl weighed 43g and carried a recommended retail price of 75p.

This year’s version is 8g lighter and 25p more expensive.

Unlike the Twirl Orange, which proved popular enough to become a permanent fixture, the Mint Twirl subsequently vanished from most major supermarket shelves.

Its return has generated a buzz, though neither Cadbury nor B&M has confirmed how long it will remain available.

The bar was first spotted by the food-spotting account UK Newest Foods.

The Mint Twirl is the second rare Cadbury bar spotted back on shelves recently with Astros, space-themed chocolate and candy balls with a biscuit centre, now available at B&M stores for £1.30.

The popular chocolate brand first launched the treat in the UK in 1997 as a competitor to Smarties and M&Ms.

They were discontinued in 2008, but have now been spotted on UK supermarket shelves.

Astros are still sold in South Africa, and B&M has imported the 40g and 150g packs from the country.
