A new streaming service has launched in the UK, promising to make it easier to discover and watch films and TV shows all in one place.

JustWatch TV is now available through the JustWatch website and apps, offering users a curated viewing experience with editorial recommendations, ad-supported content, and rental options.

David Croyé, founder and CEO of the JustWatch Group, said: "The launch of JustWatch TV marks the most important new development in our company’s twelve-year history, and it’s only the start.

"We called our company JustWatch because we wanted to make it easier for people to find and ‘just watch’ the movies and shows they love.

"From the beginning, our vision was to create a single platform that directs fans to all of their entertainment options in one place.

"JustWatch TV will help fill in the gaps and will make it easier for the massive JustWatch audience to discover and watch great movies and series, including those hard-to-find titles, right from the app itself."

The service is launching in 11 markets, including the UK, US, Canada, Ireland, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Australia and New Zealand.

It debuts with 30 content partners, including Altitude in the UK and Ireland, and global partners such as Paramount, New Regency, Fremantle, Bleecker Street and Vortex Media.

The platform offers three ways to watch:

  • JustWatch TV Free (an ad-supported, curated selection)
  • JustWatch TV Store (a rental library of recent and popular films)
  • JustWatch TV Plus (an ad-free experience with additional catalogue titles and exclusive features)

JustWatch Group, the company behind the service, was founded in 2014 and operates as an integrated entertainment, media and technology company.

Its core product, the JustWatch streaming guide, helps more than 50 million users across 140 markets find where to watch movies and TV shows.

The guide covers more than 500,000 titles across 1,500 streaming services worldwide, and its data supports over 1,400 partner websites and apps.

JustWatch TV is now available through the JustWatch website, as well as its mobile and TV apps.
