Jonathan Ross has given up the ghost on his TV show Haunted Homecoming, because he couldn't find any.

The axed Discovery+ two-part series, which showed him looking for evidence of paranormal activity in London’s East End, was popular amongst viewers.

But now, Wossy has admitted defeat, adding he doesn't want to 'fake it'.

Jonathan told The Sun: “I’m not going to do another ghost hunt show because we couldn’t find any.

“I said, ‘I’m going to tell you in advance, I’m a sceptic. I’m not going to say there aren’t ghosts but I’m not the sort of person who’s going to fake being scared.’

“They said they didn’t want me to be like that.

“We met one guy who had quite a spooky experience but after I’d spoken to him about half an hour I was like, ‘Oh, you’ve got unresolved issues’.”

Jonathan Ross hits out at critics

Last year, Ross hit back at the "misleading" claims that he hated his time on The Traitors and was discouraging his famous friends from taking part.

The TV personality, who is known for his self-titled talk show and role as a judge on The Masked Singer, took to social media to clear the air about the widely-reported issue.

Jonathan Ross told fans: "Despite rather misleading reports, I am NOT discouraging anyone from taking part in future series of Traitors.

"I am pleased I did it - an extraordinary experience - but I did not enjoy the duplicity as the game progressed.

"It’s a tougher psychological challenge than I expected is all. But I would never try to talk anyone out of it - just trying to give them a sense of what to expect."

Speaking on his Real Talk podcast, the BBC star said: “I’m a Traitor, that’s why. I found the lying really wearing; it left me feeling increasingly uncomfortable.

"We were lying all the time, because you’re sharing a car in with people in the morning, and even though we’re not supposed to be talking about the game, but obviously some people do, so you’re lying then.

“So you’re guarding this secret that you have, and others know that someone has.

“You’re on the defence the whole time and you have to look people in the eye and lie.”
