50 years ago: Jesse Fuller + Chris Barber + Otillie Patterson – Winter Gardens, Bournemouth (27.3.60): Born in 1896, Jesse Fuller was a real-deal bluesman who picked up his invite to tour Europe in 1960 after a day’s work picking walnuts. He devised a home-made six string bass viol called a fotdella.
