THE first Upton House Food & Drink Festival has been postponed until August.

This comes after it was announced that 'Freedom Day', June 21, will be delayed by four weeks.

The festival was due to take place from Friday, 25 to Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 June at Upton Country Park.

Now, the organisers have said that the event will occur from August 13 to 15.

In a statement on Facebook, the organisers said: "Firstly, we would like to apologise for the delay in making this announcement. We have been exploring all options to try and hold the event as planned and also working with Upton Country Park to secure the new dates.

"As event organisers, our primary concern is the health and safety of our customers, staff and traders. This event could not operate safely with the restrictions currently in place.

"We hope you understand how hard it has been to make this decision and ask for your help in surviving this ordeal by rolling your tickets over to the new dates.

"By doing this you will help keep these events alive."
