A MAN found dead in a river four months after he went missing from his Blandford home was identified by dental records, an inquest heard.
Andrew Latcham’s body was discovered on a small island plantation in the middle of the River Stour at Charlton Marshall on April 19, Assistant Dorset Coroner Brendan Allen was told.
A pathologist was unable to determine the cause of his death.
Mr Latcham, 70, of Park Road suffered from Alzheimer’s. He went missing on December 30.
The Bournemouth inquest heard police inquiries revealed no signs of third party involvement in his death, no evidence of trauma or any suspicious circumstances.
The coroner adjourned the hearing until October 9 and asked for statements from Mr Latcham’s GP, his family and police.
