A SCOUT group in the New Forest is bidding to improve facilities to fully cater for disabled members of the community.
Leaders at 1st New Milton Scout Group have applied to New Forest District Council for permission to extend the hall in Caird Avenue.
The proposals aim to improve the facilities, which the group says will allow the hall to fully accomplish its potential as a "valuable community venue".
A statement submitted alongside the plans also says the scheme will not only benefit the resident groups, but will enable visiting groups to camp on site and older members to camp further afield, using the hall as a base.
The plans include altering the internal layout, which will create facilities that are fully accessible for wheelchair users.
Increased parking spaces and a cycling storage facility are also included in the plans, alongside additional hall space.
