CCTV has been released after a woman’s coat and handbag was stolen from a bar in Poole.

The woman was in Le Bateau in Ashley Cross at around 1.30am on Sunday, December 10, when she left her coat and handbag unattended.

She returned to discover it was missing.

The handbag is described as a black clutch bag with a gold clasp. It contained the victim’s driving licence, bank cards, iPhone and around £10 in cash.

The victim, a local woman aged in her 20s, used her Find My iPhone app but was unable to trace it.

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they want to speak to in connection with the theft.

Police Community Support Officer Chris Hardy, of Poole police, said: “Following subsequent enquiries we are now in the position to issue a CCTV image of the suspect. I would urge anyone who recognises this woman to please contact Dorset Police.”
