A MAN is due to appear before magistrates charged with nine offences.

William Sheen, 21, of Marryat Road in New Milton, was arrested following a major search of Fordingbridge earlier this month. He is accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage, burgling a Ringwood home in November 2017, a non-dwelling burglary in Salisbury in the same month and two counts of assaulting a police officer in Salisbury, also in November.

He is also accused of a further count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon, and a public order offence, which prosecutors claim was committed in Ringwood in March 2017.

Sheen will appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court for a preliminary hearing tomorrow.
