POLICE in East Dorset have warned of a spate of thefts from cars parked at beauty spots.
PCSO James Marsh of the West Moors, St Leonards and Three Legged Cross Neighbourhood Policing Team said officers have received a number of reports of break ins to vehicles in car parks.
He urged motorists to think about where cars are left and not to leave anything on display.
Vehicles should be locked even if the owner is leaving it for a short length of time.
"Always lock your vehicle," PCSO Marsh said.
"Close windows, sunroofs and convertible roofs.
"Try to always park in attended car parks or a well-lit area."
He added: "Even small change kept for car parking can be enticing to some thieves."
