VETERAN prog rockers Galahad show no signs of slowing down after 28 years of rocking.

They might be getting on a bit, but their studio output and live performances put bands half their age to shame.

The band is bracing themselves for next month’s release of their second new studio album to be released this year.

Beyond the Realms of Euphoria is Galahad’s eighth studio album and sees the band treading similar water to that of Battle Scars, which was released earlier in 2012 but with a few additional and unexpected twists and turns.

The two albums contain a mix of different styles from rock and metal through to techno and ambient via occasional nods to traditional prog rock.

Stuart Nicholson from Galahad told 24Seven: “As always, the proof of the pudding is in the listening. Go on, give it a whirl, leave your pre-conceptions at the door and play it loud. We feel that Beyond the Realms of Euphoria represents another wonderful and colourful new chapter in the evolution of Galahad music and hope you do too.”

Both Battle Scars and Beyond the Realms of Euphoria feature bass guitarist Neil Pepper who passed away from cancer just over a year ago.

Galahad is set to headline the Proguphoria festival in October 20 at Mr Kyps in Poole, with some of the proceeds from the going to the hospice where Neil spent time whilst he was ill.

Next year looks just as busy for Galahad with an official biography called One For the Record due to be published.
