BOURNEMOUTH girl Ebony Day has dreams of making it big as a singer.

The former Highcliffe Secondary School pupil currently has a huge online following with her music videos amassing 120,000 subscribers and 13 million video views.

Since completing her A-Levels last year, Ebony has pursued a full-time career in music that has seen her doing weekly open mic nights in Sydney, Australia to performing alongside Rizzle Kicks and The Saturdays in front of 15,000 people at Stoke 2012 Live.

“It’s funny to me how in just two years I’ve gone from no one knowing who I was, let alone knowing I could sing and then suddenly performing on the same stage as my favourite artists.

“Having that buzz on stage was the greatest feeling and I know that I couldn’t do anything else now, not after feeling the energy of thousands of people,” says Ebony, 19.

Ebony would compare her music to that of Katy Perry or Pixie Lott.

“I think Katy Perry and I have similar voices and like singing about similar things.

“Having catchy songs that people can sing along to and play in any environment is something that I would like to achieve with my music.”

With her international fanbase and a lot of determination, Ebony hopes that her dream of becoming a worldwide known recording artist is achievable.

“I’m going to try so hard to make my dreams come true and to know I have so much support from my family, friends and fans makes me all the more positive that it will.

“I love singing and I honestly couldn’t see myself doing anything other than that.”
