Avon Beach car park
WORK is due to start on the refurbishment of car parks at Avon Beach and Avon Run Road in Christchurch.
The refurbishment works at Avon Beach include constructing new access steps, installing an electricity supply and ticket machines as well as barriers, minor drainage works, surfacing and lining work.
Work at Avon Run Road includes the construction of a new footpath next to the entrance slope, the reinstatement of the banks, surfacing and lining works.
Avon Beach’s work will start on Monday while Avon Run Road will begin on March 5.
It is hoped it should be completed by Easter although this is subject to change if affected by adverse weather conditions.
Parts of both car parks will be kept open to users throughout.
