SIZE: 498 pupils in 18 classes.
PUPILS: 21 nationalities.
HISTORY: A school has existed in the area since the 1870s, when it was in Croft Road and called Kinson Heath.
It moved to the current site in the mid-1960s, where it shared the site with the county’s unit for deaf children.
FUTURE: Due to become a senior school in September 2013, losing Year Seven but gaining a Year 3.
Pupils and parents will choose its name as a junior school.
OFSTED RATING: Rated satisfactory after its last Ofsted inspection in March 2010, but many elements were deemed good. Did well at a surprise inspection in 2011, where the inspector was especially impressed by improvements in pupils’ writing.
