CHARLIE Daniels revealed his affection for Leyton Orient but insisted old allegiances would be forgotten in the heat of the battle.
Ex-Orient star Daniels will tonight line up against his former employers for the first time since leaving to join Cherries in November, with his initial loan deal becoming permanent last month.
Previewing the Seward Stadium clash (7.45pm), the left-back told the Daily Echo: “It will be good when I see them before the game, shake hands and see them in the tunnel.
“But once the game starts, it will be just like any other game. I want to win and I want to put one over them.
“Then, afterwards, we will shake hands, say well done and get on with being friends again.”
Daniels added: “It will be a bit weird playing against them but I am looking forward to it.
“I think they showed a lot of faith in giving me a chance. I went there on loan from Spurs and then they showed even more faith when they signed me.
“I had told the gaffer and the chairman at the start of the season that this was going to be my last year there and I was pleased they got money for me in the end.”
