NORTH Bournemouth residents who would like to improve community safety are being urged to join a new panel.
Bournemouth council and the police will be trialling a number of Community Resolution Panels from April 1 to help improve life for people in the area.
The panels are part of the council’s Safer Communities programme of works to enable local people, who have been involved in an issue of conflict or antisocial behaviour, to come together to help resolve the problem and agree a way forward. At each panel there will be two community volunteers to help out.
There will also be those involved including the wrongdoer and harmed parties with a representative from the police or council.
The meeting will be an opportunity for both sides to explain the issue before actions are agreed and an Acceptable Behaviour Agreement (ABA) is signed.
