ROSEBERY Park Baptist Church in Bournemouth has ordained a new associate minister.
The Reverend Seidel Abel Boanerges was appointed to the post this month at the church on Christchurch Road in Pokesdown.
The 25-year-old minister is originally from Hyderabad in south eastern India.
He moved to the UK in 2008 and completed a degree in Applied Theology at Moorlands College in Sopley, Hampshire.
He told the Daily Echo: “I want to reach both the church and the community. My interest is in Apologetics, which is a theological discipline where one explains and defends their faith.
“I conduct apologetics courses at Rosebery Park Baptist where people can come and strengthen their knowledge about Christianity, and the skills required in explaining their faith to others meaningfully and coherently.
“Here they come and ask several questions about the Bible and theology, or any other questions related to their faith.”
