MAUREEN Nolan heads the cast in the role of Mrs Johnstone as the hugely popular musical Blood Brothers returns next week to the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre.
Written by Willy Russell, the legendary Blood Brothers tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with tragic consequences.
The superb score includes a wealth of great numbers, including Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True.
Few musicals of recent years have received quite such acclaim as this multi-award-winning show.
Bill Kenwright’s production, having recently celebrated its 21st year in London, continues to enjoy standing ovations at every performance.
It is no wonder that Blood Brothers is considered by some to be “the musical for all time”.
• Blood Brothers plays the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre from next Tuesday, on January 17, to Saturday.
