WIMBORNE’S popular late nightspot Bonkers is set to close in March and reopen, under new management, with a dramatic new look and an entirely new direction.

From April 1, the club will become Vibe Lounge – a funky, new and versatile venue offering live music, comedy, club nights and children’s entertainment.

The much improved venue now fulfils its potential as a space that can adapt for a diverse range of events, becoming a destination for live music, acoustic performances, cabaret, comedy and children’s activities - which audiences can now sit back and enjoy in comfort.

Following a complete refurbishment, the Wimborne venue will celebrate its re-opening as Vibe Lounge with a special launch party on Friday April 1, featuring none other than festival favourites, The Cuban Brothers.

Robbie Williams, Elton John, Tess Daly and Vernon Kaye have all hired The Cuban Brothers to add a little crazy Cuban fun to their celebrations - and Vibe Lounge is lucky enough to have this A-list act drop into its launch party en-route to the Snowbombing Festival in Austria.

A limited number of tickets for this event will be available to the public and will go on sale tomorrow, available from Square Records in Wimborne (price £10).
