A GANG of abusive teenage girls who attacked a male shop worker when he asked them to leave his store were captured on film.

Their violent physical assault was recorded by some of the store’s CCTV network and another video camera.

Shocking images show the girls grappling with a staff member and attempting to kick in a door while hurling verbal abuse.

Now police and shop workers hope someone will recognise them and report them to investigating officers.

The incident happened at Best One in Poole Hill, Bournemouth at about 5.45pm on Saturday, January 22.

And employee Ismael Almaci has told how he was shocked by the incident, which involved around five girls possibly aged between 14 and 16.

“This group of girls had been into the shop before and we asked them nicely to leave because of they way they were behaving,” said Mr Almaci, who was working alongside Cagdas Acikgoz.

“Suddenly they started punching my boss and shouting. I was really surprised because I have never seen misbehaviour like that and we were just doing our best to get them out of the shop.”

Mr Almaci claimed there had been problems when the girls were in the convenience store on a previous occasion and some of them had been smoking in the shop.

Police released a CCTV image of one teenage girl they are keen to speak to and shop staff provided other footage in a bid to help the investigation.

PC Gary Waterman of Bournemouth police said: “The member of staff had asked a group to leave the shop due to their behaviour when he was verbally and physically assaulted.

“The victim did not suffer any injuries. I would urge the girl pictured, and anyone who recognises her, to contact me, in confidence, as soon as possible.”
