FOLLOWING Kings of Leon on to the bill for next summer’s 10th anniversary Isle of Wight Festival are reborn Britpop godheads Pulp.

Having last performed together in December 2002, Pulp are finally back and will be appearing on the main stage on Saturday, June 11.

With a career spanning more than three decades Pulp are sure to be one of the main attractions next summer as the show will involve all the original members of the band – Nick Banks, Jarvis Cocker, Candida Doyle, Steve Mackey, Russell Senior and Mark Webber – and they will be playing songs from across their back catalogue.

After seven studio albums and some much-celebrated singles including Disco 2000, Babies and the legendary Common People, it’s sure to be a night to remember.

John Giddings, the festival promoter, says: “When I heard they were reforming, I had to get them, they are the soundtrack of a generation.”

Taking place from June 10-21, Pulp join Friday’s headliners Kings of Leon. Tickets go on sale on Friday, November 19, from usual outlets.
