THE Wanted, the UK’s freshest new boy band, are to tour the UK for the first time next spring and plan a date at the BIC on April 9.

The band released their self titled debut album last week and saw it climb straight into the top five. The 13-track album blasts off with number one smash hit, All Time Low, the boy’s anthemic debut single; while their second single, Heart Vacancy, hit the top two last month.

The Wanted – Max, Tom, Nathan, Jay and Siva – have spent the past few months living and working together. They travelled to Europe where they were co-writing and recording with some pop luminaries for their album.

From Danish pop maestro Cutfather (Christina Aguilera, Pixie Lott, Santana) and Rami & Carl Falk (N Sync, Britney Spears) in Sweden to hitmakers Steve Mac (Kelly Clarkson) and the legendary Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams, James Blunt) based in the UK.

Within a few short months The Wanted have built up a huge fanbase.

With more than nine million plays of their videos on YouTube and nearly 400,000 fans on Facebook, they have become one of the year’s biggest breakthrough acts.

Tickets for the tour go on sale from usual outlets at 10am on Saturday.
