PLANS to build two new business units on the Holland Business Park in Blandford have won support from town councillors on the proviso that operating hours follow restrictions for other units at the site.

Cllr Steve Hitchings raised concerns at Blandford Town Council’s planning meeting on Monday that signage at the entrance to the site advertising unrestricted hours was incorrect.

Cllr Hitchings said only one unit on the site had permission for unrestricted operating hours, and the Mayor, Cllr Esme Butler, said the council should make restricted hours a condition of its recommendation for permission for the new units.

North Dorset District Council’s planners will make the final judgement on the application.
