THREE elderly people escaped with minor injuries after an accident near Wareham this morning (September 1).
A red Kia, travelling towards Wareham, collided with hedges and trees after leaving the A352 just before 10am.
It came to rest on its side and all three passengers were safely helped from the car and transferred to Dorset County Hospital for treatment.
Police said all three people's injuries were "non life-threatening".
A dog also escaped the collision unscathed.
The road was closed in both directions for around three hours, causing traffic delays.
It was reopened at 1pm.
