CHERRIES have this morning rejected an offer for star striker Brett Pitman from Premier League new boys Blackpool.
Dean Court chairman Eddie Mitchell confirmed the bid had been tabled by the Seasiders – by email – just before midnight last night.
Mitchell declined to reveal the financial details of the offer but confirmed he had told Blackpool it was unacceptable.
The news comes just hours after the Daily Echo revealed that Blackpool were on the verge of making a beat-the-transfer-deadline move for Pitman.
And our story was last night followed up by Sky Sports who suggested the Seasiders had already tabled an initial bid of £400,000 for the Jerseyman.
