A little local knowledge can be a powerful thing.
So when bosses at Co-operative Funeralcare asked staff how their new Ringwood shop could best show its support for the community, pedal cars soon sprang to mind of staff member, Heidi Lund.
Heidi, a local lady, said she had no hesitation in recommending the Daily Echo-backed Magna Mazda British Pedal Car Grand Prix, having enjoyed the pedal powered spectacle for years.
Now the 54 cars lining up on the Market Place grid for two-hours of close quarter racing over an extended 1.4km circuit will negotiate a section of track - the Co-operative Corner.
The Co-operative’s backing for the event means more cash for its chosen charities – Wave 105’s Cash For Kids, Help For Heroes, and the Tenovus Cancer Charity.
The race starts at 2pm on Sunday July 11. To see pictures and videos, visit bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/districts/pedalcar.
